The Owl & Pussy Cat

A new kid on the block in Byron Bay, the Owl and the Pussy Cat is inviting and fun. Bar, tapas restaurant and live music venue, it’s a great new addition to the local dining and bar scene. There’s a good range of wine and beers available, as well as some well priced summer inspired cocktails ($17 for a wild strawberry & lime mojito, or a watermelon & mint caprioska). Food is good value and unpretentious, with share plates and mains with an American flavour. Their jalapeno and blue cheese croquettas have real bite, salt and pepper chicken wings are deliciously moorish. Local acts play live music nightly, adding a buzz to the place and making it popular for a lively night out. On a good night, tables give way to dance floor.
