AVANA Byron

AVANA Byron is a private retreat venue set across five acres of rainforest in Wilsons Creek, around 30 minutes from Byron Bay. The property is available for exclusive use by a single group, creating a shared setting for organised retreats, workshops and movement-based programs rather than everyday restaurant dining.

The venue combines a natural hinterland setting with purpose-built spaces for group activities. Shalas provide open areas for yoga, breathwork, movement and circles, while the house offers a place to gather, cook and spend time together. A private studio is also available for facilitators to rest and prepare between sessions.

Accommodation is arranged across bell tents and dome tents, with beds, organic cotton linen and towels supplied. The property can accommodate groups of up to 60 guests, with twin-share options in some bell tents. Outdoor showers, a flowing mountain river, a sauna and a cold plunge add to the retreat-focused character, while fire spaces and outdoor games create options for shared time beyond scheduled sessions.

Food is organised separately from venue hire. AVANA Byron can help connect retreat organisers with local caterers offering organic and locally sourced produce, or with cooks who prepare meals over an open fire. Dining is treated as part of the group experience, with meals suited to communal gatherings under the stars when conditions allow.

The atmosphere is informal, nature-led and practical, with rainforest surroundings balanced by facilities designed for comfort and group logistics. Rain is part of the setting, and the shalas and house provide alternatives when outdoor plans change. The venue suits facilitators planning wellness retreats, Pilates or movement programs, breathwork gatherings and other small to medium group experiences that benefit from private accommodation and dedicated activity spaces.

Venue hire includes the property for one group, cleaning, Wi-Fi, parking and coordination with the AVANA manager before and during the stay.
